The essence of an organization is made up of various vital parts – each authentic and distinct, yet incomplete without the others. Strategy, processes, resources, and people breathe in the same rhythm. And they all falter together when one of them stops functioning.
This dimension isn’t visible at first glance. It takes experience, sensitivity, and deep observation to recognize this depth, but once you see it, you never look at an organization the same way again.
After many years of working as an HR director, organizational consultant, and career counselor, I’ve learned to view the organization from both the lens of the system and the perspective of the individual.
I believe that the organization and each employee enter into a unique relationship that goes far beyond a business transaction. It’s a dynamic, two-way process with a pulse that constantly shifts, measures, and adapts.
The organization sets the framework, but within that framework lives the personal story of every individual. And each person, through their presence, values, and dedication, gives soul and color to the greater organism.
